Thanks to community support, FSC has been able to provide nearly 45% more therapy sessions to families with need in 2023 compared to the same time period in 2022.
And yet… there remains a waitlist for service. Next year, with your help, we’d like to increase the number of therapy sessions another 45% and continue to add more educational programs with greater outreach into underserved parts of our community.
And yet… there remains a gap between funding and our ability to provide the additional much-needed mental health services.
For those of you at the event’s Final Stretch, you heard some very powerful words from Chris Falcon, local civic leader and business owner, who shared his tragic and challenging personal story. He shared the pivotal moment that changed his life – access to and support from a caring, trained counselor.
Chris spoke candidly on a very difficult topic. Far too many people keep their mental health struggles hidden for too long, with outcomes that include great pain and suffering. The more we bring these realities into the light, the more we can help others in the darkness see a way out.
Does your employer offer matching funds? Your donation could have twice the impact!
The team at FSC works tirelessly to overcome these very real, very big obstacles during those important pivotal moments in the lives of our kids, neighbors, and friends.
