Combat Cyberbullying: Community Solutions/Upstanders Film

September 22 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

FREE

Sponsored by the Village of Northbrook Community Commission, Community Action Together for Children’s Health (CATCH), Cook County United Against Hate, and the Northbrook Public Library.

Nearly half of U.S. teens have been bullied or harassed online: it’s a growing problem for our youth, their parents, and our schools. Join us for a screening of The Upstanders to learn more about how online hate and bullying impact young people – and how our community can combat it.

Produced by IMPACTFUL, this documentary film weaves personal anecdotes of kids and their families together with the expertise of educators, brain-scientists, and mental health professionals to inspire all of us to become “upstanders.” Following the screening, stay for a panel discussion featuring local mental health experts, educators, and students moderated by Cook County Commissioner Scott Britton.
