Laura Valiukenas, is a is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Master of Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago and bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University. Additionally, she has her ICDVP (Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional) certificate. Laura uses a variety of approaches including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She always comes from an empowerment and trauma informed lens. She does not believe there is any set treatment plan for everyone and works to individualize each person's treatment. Laura understands that each person will experience their history, events, and self-care differently.
